A Church Wedding CeremonyTypically we would play as the guests arrive for the ceremony, to set the atmosphere. We would then play for the entrance of the Bride, during the signing of the register, and as the couple make their exit. Often, we would play with a Folk Quartet or similar ensemble, with an organist playing for the hymns. However, we have also played for the hymns with a quartet, and there are many other options - soprano & organ, harp, etc. A Civil Wedding CeremonyThe choice of music can be influenced here by the venue - formal or informal, themed or traditional, indoors or outdoors. For civil ceremonies, the string quartet is a favourite, as with Church Ceremonies, but other options are also popular, such as folk & jazz. Your imagination is the limit here, and we are always here to discuss ideas with you. A Church BlessingThis tends to follow the form of the Church Wedding Ceremony, but with perhaps more intercessions of music and readings. Other kinds of CeremonyWe have played for other kinds of ceremony, and are always here to discuss options and possibilities with you. AfterwardsWe would then move to wherever is appropriate, to play during drinks. If the weather was good, we could play in the gardens. We can also play during the meal. Then on into the evening, perhaps with a completely different kind of music.
